Diamond Resorts is a timeshare company headquartered in Las Vegas, Nevada. The company has a network of 379 holiday destinations in 35 countries around the world and sells vacation ownership points.
On June 29, 2016, Apollo Global Management made a successful bid to purchase Diamond Resorts International.
On December 23, 2016 Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich announced a $ 800,000 settlement with Diamond Resorts. As part of the settlement, customers who buy their timeshare on false pretenses can release them.
Michael Flaskey was appointed chief executive officer of the company in March 2017.
On January 18, 2018, the company experienced a brand refresh, renewed its logo and officially dropped the international name of its name known as Diamond Resorts.

In October 2015 DRI purchased the Golden Key Resort for $ 167.5 million. The acquisition adds five vacation ownership resorts in Virginia Beach, Virginia, and one in Outer Banks, North Carolina.

Diamond Resorts launched Diamond Resorts Invitational in 2013 to provide benefits to the Florida Children's Hospital. Through golf tournaments, the company has collected a total of more than $ 3.1 million to children's hospitals.

Sales Tactics
Diamond Resorts is renowned for its high-pressure sales tactics used to close sales and generate costs for consumers. Club members are charged an annual maintenance fee (including management fee), set by Diamond Resorts and which the FTC warns will likely increase each year.
