The School of Business Administration (commonly known as SoBA ) at the University of California, Riverside is home to the largest undergraduate business program in the University of California system, as well as A. Gary Anderson Graduate School of Management.

Overview
Utilizing its location in Inland Southern California as one of the fastest growing areas in the United States, the School's brand identity is tied to the development and growth management, and uses the slogan "Leading Thinking Leads to Growth."
The 2008-2013 school strategic plan identifies five "tops of excellence" that represent the field of academic differences for Schools. These five towers include: (1) auditing and assurance, (2) empirical finance, (3) supply chain management, (4) web commerce, and (5) behavioral research decisions.

Distinctions
In 2003, SoBA was accredited by the Association for Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).
In 2007, the Employers' Magazine and Princeton Review included schools among the top 25 graduate programs in entrepreneurship.
In 2010, US. News and World Report ranked the SOBA undergraduate business program in a tie for 67 out of all undergraduate business programs and a tie for 41 among undergraduate business courses at public universities.
In 2010 and 2011, Princeton Review entered SoBA as one of the Best Business Schools 301/300.
In 2011, Business Week rated the undergraduate program for the first time, placing it among just six programs in California (only three public) rated.
In 2011, AS. News and World Report ranked the SOBA graduate business program 32 among all public universities and 55th among all national universities (for rank 2012).
In 2011, the Princeton Review entered SoBA as one of 294 Best Business Schools for 2012.
In 2012, AS. News and Reports ranked the SOBA graduate business program 33 among all state universities and 56 among all national universities (for rankings 2013).

In 2010, the SoBA revived its annual economic forecast, in partnership with Beacon Economics. The 2011 forecast conference is themed "The Future of Work in Inland Southern California."
History
UCR first established the Graduate School of Administration in 1970. The school was later renamed the Graduate School of Management in 1982. In 1994, the A. Gary Anderson Family Foundation donated $ 5 million to the school, which was renamed A. Gary Anderson Graduate School of Management. In 2008, the school was renamed the School of Business Administration, housing both undergraduate business programs and A. Gary Anderson Graduate School of Management.

The SoBA has several areas: accounting and information systems, management and marketing, finance, and supply chain management. Faculty includes:

Program
Business undergraduate
SoBA offers B.S. in the business administration program, which was established in 1984. The number of undergraduate enrollments in 2011 was 18,242.
SoBA has the largest undergraduate business program in the UC system.
In 2010, US. News and World Reports rated the SoBA undergraduate business program in the top 5 percent.
MBA
The MBA program was launched in 1983. Offered at A. Gary Anderson's Graduate School of Management, the MBA program enrolls approximately 80 students per year in 2011.
In 2010, MBA student internships participated in the first ever study of foreign direct investment in Riverside County. They work with the Foreign Trade Office at the Riverside County Economic Development Agency.
Ph.D.
A Ph.D. in the Business Administration program launched in fall 2011, and is interdisciplinary, focused on management and marketing. The first cohort consists of six students.
Master of Professional Accountancy (MPAc)
The Master of Professional Accountancy (MPAc) program is approved for launch in 2012.
Executive MBA
In 2009, the SoBA launched the Executive MBA program. Special applicants for the 21-month program have seven to 10 years of minimum career experience. The first cohort consists of managers in finance, distribution, CPA, and physicians. The program enrolls approximately 20-25 students per year.
Students meet on alternating weekends at the UCR Palm Desert Graduate Center, and are required to attend week-long residencies and international study trips. In 2010, the EMBA group traveled to Shanghai for its international residency.
