Paskha (also spelled pascha , or pasha ; Russian: ?????? "Representation in the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA)"> ['pasx?] ; "Easter") is a lively meal made in Eastern Orthodox countries consisting of food prohibited during fasting from Great Lent. It was made during the Holy Week and then brought to the Church on Saturday Great to be blessed after Easter Vigil. The name of the dish comes from Pascha, the celebration of the Eastern Orthodox Pass. In addition to Russia, Ukraine, etc., pasha is also often presented in Finland.

Paskha can be cooked or raw (raw). Cooked Paskhas are made in the form of an egg custard, in which the remaining ingredients are folded. A raw paskha is made only from raw curd and other ingredients mixed at room temperature. Because unprocessed curds can not be stored for long periods of time, these pascas are usually made smaller.

The tvorog was first pressed to eliminate the maximum possible amount of fluid, then inserted twice through the sieve to create a homogeneous mass. If paskha matures, this mass is then heated. The pan containing the mixture is then placed in a cold water container and colder. Afterwards it is placed in a traditional wooden mold assembly called pasochnitsa (?????????), with a layer of cheese cloth protecting the mold. Wood mold can be separated for cleaning; However, more modern materials, such as plastics, are used today. Molds are cooled for twelve hours in a cold place, but not freezing (usually in a basement or refrigerator). Finally, paskha changed from mold, thin cotton cloth removed, and wear plate. It may then be decorated with candied fruits, nuts, or flowers. In contemporary times, post-cheese is not always shaped in mold and sometimes served in a mound on a plate.

Paskha (or at least a part of it) will be placed in the Easter basket along with other party foods, and brought to church for blessings.
